Trnava Lowlands

Cycleway across Trnava lowlands may be a pleasant way of spending a weekend in one of the villages around the southern part of Trnava. It offers a number of natural and historical attractions. Its moderate difficulty with a minimum elevation makes it one of the easier once. It goes along less frequented tarmac roads. The only exception is busy streets in Trnava. The trail starts in front of the railway station in Trnava. At the beginning follow the green marked cycleway (5206), which lead eastwards along Kollárova Street and onto Spartakovská Street. Turn right onto the Sasinková Street and then left onto Bernolákova Street. Get to the end of town. Then cross eastern bypass of Trnava. Turn sharp right and head southeast. Pass over a level crossing and on the right side pass along the plant PSA Peugeot Citroën. Cross the overpass over the highway D1 and enter in Zavar. At the main crossroads in the village turn right to the green cycleway leading to Šúrovce. Continue south out of the village around electrical wiring to Križovany nad Dudváhom. The most interesting attraction here is the Romanesque rotunda from the year 1246. The route passes over the edge Vlckovce R1 motorway linking Trnava to Nitra. In Opoj at the cemetery turn sharpl left. The route passes through the village and over the river Dudváh and just before the motorways, turn right. Tarmact road alongt Vlčkovce Grove ont the left goes into Majcichov where once an important Great Moravian fortified settlement was. After the bridge over the river Dudváh pass directly through the main street and around the elementary school get to the edge of the farm area. Here turn left onto the paved road leading to Voderady. It goes directly to the manor house with a large park. At the end of the village turn right direction to Trnava. Pass the Outlet shopping center and a roundabout on a busy four-lane road. Continue over the motorway D1 until Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou. At the outlet of the main roads to the national road no. 61 turn left onto a panel path leading upstream the creek Parná. Cross the railway line Bratislava-Trnava and alongTrnava ponds come to the recreation area Kamenný Mlny (Stone mil)l. Turn right onto the green-marked cycleway (5206) towards the railway line. After, the route turns right along the edge of Prednádražie urban areas heading to the final destination - a railway station in Trnava.

Trnava – Zavar (8 km) – Križovany nad Dudváhom (3 km) – Majcichov (8 km) – Voderady (5 km) – Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou (8 km) – Trnava (8 km)
