Trnavský jazzyk (Trnava Jazzyk) is a two-day open-air jazz festival, first of its kind within Slovakia, which -thanks to local musicians- is organized in the town amphitheatre every year.  As its website presents, Trnava is not only a town with a specific language, a unique dialect, but also a town with its own festival, which since 2004 brings the “jazz language” to town. And this language is easily understood by all music lovers. The variety of music production at Trnavský jazzyk festival can be compared to the number of language dialects from different regions, although they are derived from the same standard language. The festival’s line-up is created with regards to the genre continuity but at the same time it is not limited only to classic and modern jazz. The visitors can listen to several different styles that enrich the programme and enhance the specific character of the event.
