Kopánka Theatre Company – Trnava (DISK Trnava) has made Trnava famous during its nearly 60-year long career not only in Slovakia but also abroad. Numerous plays of the company were directed by such acclaimed directors as Blaho Uhlár or Dušan Vicen. DISK Trnava performs its plays in a studio of the same name, in a house of culture located in Kopánka district. DISK is proud to bear the title of “the smallest theatre in Slovakia.“ The seating capacity is 33 seats and since 2007, it has regularly staged Thursday performances for the public. DISK has regularly participated in a national theatre competition Scénická žatva (Scenic Harvest) held in Martin, where it won the Creative Act of the Year award three times.
