The small village of Suchá nad Parnou lies only several-minute drive from Trnava. It became famous for its excellent red wine of Blue Portugal variety. Terra Parna, a winery of the Zvolenský family, follows this famous past of the village related to the given variety. Modern winery built in art estate winery style has a unique atmosphere. Vineyards, which are a part of the winery, are not only used for grapes cultivation but they also uniquely help shape the genius loci of this place. In the middle of the vineyard, there is a tower resembling a belfry, which remotely reminds of the well-known Chateau Latour dovecot. The experience of the view of scenic vineyards after dark is enhanced by the lighting of the belfry and vineyards. Besides Blue Portugal variety, which has managed to make wine lovers aware of Terra Parna Winery despite its short history, the offer also includes Rheingau Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Saint Laurent or Alibernet. A great advantage is a possibility to process grapes immediately after collection, literally within several minutes. A high crop reduction with the philosophy of Jozef Zvolenský - to let nature itself excel are a guarantee of wines with significant character. Their wines are the same as their winery - fresh, modern and following the tradition of the region. During the owner´s knowledgeable commentary, you can try unbottled wines right from tanks or casks. Refreshments are standardly offered and upon agreement, the winery can also ensure catering meals. Wine tasting in this charming environment and family atmosphere is an unforgettable experience.
