The rock structure has an interesting geomorphologic shape of rock window with a small cave. It was formed by mechanic weathering of dolomites eastwards from the municipality Buková in an impressive northern section of Pezinok Carpathians, close to the observation hill Havrania skala. This remarkable geomorphologic phenomenon documents a mutual relation between structural properties of bedrock and weathering processes. The nature reserve was established in 1986 covering the area of 12.22 ha. Westwards from the nature reserve, there is the red-marked main arterial road Štefánikova magistrála leading on the mountain ridge of Little Carpathians.
