Voderady village lies at Gidra stream south from Trnava. The local manor house is with no doubt the most interesting architectonic sight in the village. Out of a big group of Voderady owners the Zichy family was the most noted one. It was probably them who had the late Baroque, neo-classicist manor house built in the first half of the 18th century. Between 1860 and 1870 the manor house was rebuilt and extended in Empiric style. The two-floored object has three wings surrounding a square yard opened at the south side. The front wing is oriented to the yard while its balustrade terrace is built on opened arcades. In the middle there is a risalit which is dramatized above the roof ledge by a low attic. Two relief coats-of-arms are situated on it. Late Baroque elements can be seen on the present object in the middle section of the ground floor. The dominant of the interior is a single open staircase and the ceremonial hall upstairs is also interesting. Other rooms are pass-through and all of them have smooth ceiling, while the ceiling in the ceremonial hall is decorated with stucco ornaments. In the past the manor house used to house art and historical artefacts collections from the whole world as well as variety of valuable books. The county monograph mentions 1200 books in the library located upstairs. A number of the objects were stolen at the end of the World War 2 and others, originally walled in in the manor house passage, were transferred to Červený Kameň Castle and to museums in Bratislava and Trnava. In 1946 the manor house became a state property and later an agricultural vocational school was established there. By 2005 the Secondary school of food-processing and agriculture resided there. The whole object is surrounded by a large park which used to among the unique parks in Europe. It is a so called natural and sentimental park and was the first one of the kind in Slovakia. Currently, the manor house is deserted and is waiting for its further use.
