Trnava Wolds

This moderately difficult trail runs over the gently undulationg hills of Trnava with a minimal elevation. It leads through the less frequented tarmac roads. Only at the beginning and at the end of the trail you should be more careful while riding the busy streets of Trnava. The trail runs through the vineyard region on the Small Carpathian Wine Route. The starting point of this trail is the railway station in Trnava. Head north, follow the yellow cycleway (8218) which takes side streets towards the cemetery and the old sugar refinery. You can get to the sugar rafinery by riding on a busy street alongside the Bernolák`s Park and the city walls. From the sugar refinery follow the course of the river Trnávka using the Trstínska road. At the next junction turn left onto Ružindolská Street. You should notice the trail marked n blue (2204). After a while, turn right unto Suchovská Street. It will lead you out of town. At the junction turn to direction Zvončín and over the stream Parná descend into the village. At the church turn right and soon you reach the first house of the village Suchá nad Parnou famous thanks to the writer František Hečko. From the village continue north, pass the water dam Suchá nad Parnou and the cottage houses area on the left. In Košolná leave the blue cycleway and continue straight. The short slenght to Small Carpathian village Dolné Orešany is marked in yellow (8214). In the center of village turn left and join the Small Carpathian Wine Cycle Trail (5205) marked in green. After just 3 km turn left to the area of Matildin Dvor. Follow the yellow cycleway (8215) and with ease descend to the village Dlhá. The road continues south and mounts up to Borová, the least populous village Trnava destrict. After the village and after a short climb you reach the upper end of Ružindol. Branch off to the main road and join the green cycleway (5206). Follow it until its end in Trnava. Pass Ružindol and after about 3 km leave the road no. 504 turning right into Biely Kostol. Thence, around the recreation area Kamenný mlyn come to a level crossing at the edge of Trnava. Turn right onto the green cycleway which passes along the edge of Prednádražie urban area and leads to the final destination of the trail - the railway station.
