The nature monument with the area of 12.4 ha was established in 1996 within the cadastral area of municipality Dobrá voda. The locality represents a remarkable and unique example of calcerous tufa and travertine karst structures as well as formation (sedimentation) of deposits in the Little Carpathians. The territory is an interesting area also from the point of view of landscape. The nature monument is situated southwards from the municipality and shares boundary with the main red-marked arterial road Štefánikova magistrála.
