Juraj Fándly Memorial House Naháč
Memorial House is located in the building of Roman-Catholic parish house and it has been opened since 1990. Juraj Fándly worked there as a priest between 1780 and 1807. For the needs of the exhibition the preserved building was restored and modified. Exhibitions: In Juraj Fándly Memorial House one can find a permanent exhibition divided into two sections. The first section comprises documents about the life and work of Fándly, which are presented in a form of photocopies of his books and articles. This section also presents the contemporary interior, in which the writer wrote his books. The second section has ethnographic character and is called the Black Kitchen. In other three rooms of the building, folk costumes and work of the local farmers and craftsmen is exhibited. In the garden, there is an apiary with figural straw bee hives which Fándly mentioned in his Slovak Beekeeper book (Slovenský včelár). There are also numerous apple trees with non-blossoming Fándly tree.
