Giant Sequoia in the Park (Cífer)

Sequoiadendron giganteum is situated in the municipality Cífer within premises of poultry company in the historical park on the left side of small meadow. The park is not open to public. This gigantic exemplar of sequoia with a height of 50m is the tallest and most massive tree in Trnava district, and at the same time, it is the tallest tree from the protected trees within Slovakia. It forms also a part of historical vegetation. It was declared a protected tree in 2000 owing to its age, ecological, landscape and aesthetic function. The trunk circumference amounts to 536 cm. The tree is 150 years old.
