Čierna Skala Hill (Rock Structure)

The well-marked rock structure represents a part of mountain ridge with preserved sections of Little Carpathians. In the nature reserve, natural forest and non-forest communities co-exist with original plant and animal species and are interlaced by rock walls and scree fields. The nature reserve is located in the cadastral area of small municipality Lošonec situated under the Little Carpathians. The yellow tourist route leads to it either westward from Jahodník or eastward from Plavecký Mikuláš. From the crossing on the main arterial road Štefánikova magistrála, the red hiking tourist route ascends in a beech alley. The territory with the area of 29.71 ha was declared a nature reserve in 1996. The Čierna skla (662 m) Hill, providing beautiful view of large forests of Little Carpathians and Danubian Hills, is situated on the periphery of reserve. Especially the rock window is remarkable. This often visited tourist destination used to be called the "Pearl of Little Carpathians"
