Bolehlav (Forest Communities)
A unique example of naturally formed forest communities of collinean and submontane altitudinal vegetation zone gradually turning into montane altitudinal vegetation zone is concentrated in the nature reserve Bolehlav south-easternwards from the identically named hill in the cadastre of municipality of Dolné Orešany. It is a community of beech and oak and oak and beech altitudinal vegetation zone. The forest grows on a crystalinic non-calcic base located on the south-eastern periphery of Little Carpathians (part Pezinské Karpaty) in the vicinity of the Trnava Hilly Land. The territory with the area of 93.57 ha was declared a nature reserve in 1988. The northern periphery of the nature reserve includes a yellow tourist route.
